Mid-Florida Milers Walking Club
Founded in 1989

We are a walking club focused on the Greater Orlando area, but we do have walks ranging from The Villages in the north to Key West in the South.  Our activities are designed for Fun, Fitness and Friendship.  

Our walks are typically 5 Km and 10 Km (3 miles to 6 miles) self-paced walks.  While we have a number of walks that are available on any day (Year Round Events, YRE) we also have walks where we assemble at a given location and time to walk in small groups (Traditional Events, TE).  The TEs are usually on the first and third Saturdays of the month.  You can find our upcoming events on the homepage right-hand column.

We were established over 30 years ago.  Go to our History page for information on our founding.  We are affiliated with the American Volkssport Association, AVA.  Visiting their site can help you find approximately 200 clubs and over 2000 walking events across the US.  If you are interested in understanding exactly how this club is run, we suggest you look at the Minutes of the Board of Director Meetings, our Constitution or our Bylaws. 

Please review the video Come Walk With Us. There are over 1,800 pre-laid out walks available daily in all states. The walks in many cities and parks are designed by local residents who showcase that location’s attractions or scenic places. There are also weekend walking events where clubs sponsor multiple walks in cities. The National Headquarters sponsors a convention every two years at various locations.
