DOWNTOWN (This walk is supported by a donation of Paul Erickson, Maitland, Florida) (The Start Point is Open or Registration can be done through Online Start Box.) DESCRIPTION: The 5 and 10 km walks are in historic downtown and the routes take you to historic downtown Orlando, Colonial Town Historic area, Lake Eola, and County Courthouse. Pass the large fountain in Lake Eola, which was constructed in 1957 to celebrate Orlando's 100th birthday and was rebuilt in 2011. Look for the famous "black swans" or take a ride in the swan paddleboats. The Walk Downtown accommodates strollers and wheelchairs (though some streets have no sidewalks). Restrooms and water are at the start and Lake Eola. Walk only during daylight hours. Pets are allowed on a leash. Please carry water. (County requires masks in establishments if not distanced outside.) Rating: 1A.
ORLANDO SOUTH (The Start Point is Open or Registration can be done through Online Start Box.) DESCRIPTION: Walk instructions updated and have local points of interest This route has 5 Little Free Libraries. You will walk residential sidewalks. The 5km passes the historic train station and Orlando Health complex before ending thru residential areas. The 10km shaded South route passes many lakes surrounded by Orlando's older homes which have retained their original charm. The walks will accommodate strollers and wheelchairs though some streets have no sidewalks. Restrooms at Center. Walk during daylight hours. Please carry water. Leashed pets are allowed. (No restrooms; County requires masks in establishments if not distanced outside.)
[There is major construction on I-4 until 2022 from Exit 94 (Longwood) to Exit 75 (FL435/Kirkman. Additionally, I-4E & I-4W are slow weekday mornings.] To the Beardall Senior Center at 800 N Delaney Av. from I-4W, use exit 82B, Anderson St. Left to Orange Av. Right on Orange Ave to 3rd light (Gore Av). Left, then left at mid-block into the Senior Center. From I-4E use exit 82B. Right on South St. Then right on Orange Av to 4th light (Gore). Left and then left at mid-block to the Senior Center. From SR408W use exit 11, Rosalind. Stay in left lane to Orange Ave. Left on Orange to 4th light (Gore), then left at mid-block into Senior Center. From SR 408E, exit 11B, Mills Ave. Right on Mills for 0.4 mi, then right on Briarcliff. Right on Delaney to 1st light (Gore). Left on Gore; right at mid- block to Senior Center; Enter Center thru main door facing Gore. Walk Box is to the left past the desk to the left on the floor.

Mid-Florida Milers Walking Club events cost $3 for every Traditional and Year-Round Event walk and include AVA/IVV credit for those recording walks. Minors under 13 may walk for free if not an AVA/IVV credit walker. The 5 Southeast Florida Online Start Box walks are $2 for the instructions and $1 more for AVA/IVV credit.

ORLANDO NORTH (Open as Online Start and Physical Start Box .) 5 and 10 km Walk Events Description: Starts at Marks St. Senior Center. Hours: Monday - Saturday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. The brown file Walk Box is in the Cardio Room in the Fitness Center, on the lower shelf to the right of the TV. The Fitness Center is in the Southeast corner of the building, all the way at the end of the long hall that runs through the center of the building. Once in the Fitness Center, turn right to go to the Cardio room. This 5 and 10 km walk route is a tree lined and shaded walk near lakes, through residential areas, on the Orlando Urban Trail (Dinky Line section), Loch Haven Park, and along Ivanhoe Antique Row. Visit the Mennello Museum of American Art (Tu - Sa, 10:30 to 4:30 p.m., Su, Noon - 4:30 p.m.), the Orlando Science Center (Su - Sa: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), or the Orlando Museum of Art (Tu - Fr: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sa - Su: 12pm to 4pm, closed Mondays & Major Holidays) as well as shops along Ivanhoe Antique Row. Restrooms are available at Marks St. Senior Center, the Orlando Museum of Art, and area businesses. The walks will accommodate strollers and wheelchairs (though some streets have no sidewalks). Directions: To Marks St Senior Center, 99 E Marks St., from Daytona/Sanford on I-4W, take Exit 83, Colonial Drive/FL50. Turn left on Colonial Dr. and merge to left lane. From Disney/Tampa via I-4E to Orlando, Exit 83A, Amelia; straight at bottom of ramp. Keep right and turn right at next light onto Colonial (FL50E). BOTH: Left on Magnolia at 2nd traffic light, a one-way street. Left at first traffic light, Marks St., to Senior Center immediately on right. From SR 408W/E exit north toward Daytona onto I-4E. Use Exit 83A, Amelia; straight at bottom of ramp. Keep right and turn right at next light onto Colonial (FL50E). Left on Magnolia at 2nd traffic light, a one-way street. Left at first traffic light, Marks St., to Senior Center immediately on right.
