29 January 2022 Apopka, Wekiwa Springs State Park.
EVENT: 6/10K walk

START: Register between 8:30 and 9:00 am.

AVA Special Programs: Walking the USA A-Z: A.

Description: This was once a YRE and was MFM's 1st Traditional event in 1990 and 2d YRE. This walk is on the Park's trail map. You will have detailed directions and map. Note that the park fills early and there may be a delay at the gate. This event is on 70% shaded park trails, spring boil bridge, and boardwalk. Trail is rated 2B and is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Pets are allowed on a 6 ft. leash but not in the springs swimming area. Restrooms at start. Directions: GPS: 28.7116901, -81.4647017 . To the Park at 1800 Wekiwa Circle from Orlando and Daytona use I-4 exit 94. Turn left from Orlando and right from Daytona on FL434W for 1.0 mile. Turn right on Wekiwa Springs Rd. for 4.2 miles and right into park. The cost is $6 for 2-8 and $4 for one. Follow signs to register near Oak Pavilion.

5 February 2022 Celebration No. 1 at Starbucks.
EVENT: 6/11K walk

START: Register between 8:30 and 9:15 am.

AVA Special Programs: Rockin' Around the Clock, Walking w/Veterans, Walking the USA A-Z: C.

Description: Starbucks is open and restrooms are available. Register for the 6 & 11K walks between 8:30 - 9:15 am. Walk fee is $3 per participant, and children under 13 are free. Walk instructions with maps provided; walk at your pace. You walk around lakes filled with wildlife, into & past wetlands, and thru different residential areas on sidewalks. Please carry water. Orlando: SR 417S to Exit 2, left on Celebration Ave. ALL: At 1st stop sign (Sun Trust Bank) turn left then right on Front St. - Starbucks is ahead at Bloom St. Parking in rear.

19 February 2022 The Villages at Lake Sumter Landing.
EVENT: 5/10K walk

START: Register between 9:00 and 9:30 am.

AVA Special Programs: Rockin' Around the Clock, Walking the USA A-Z: V.

Description: Come join us in The Villages for a 5 or 10K walk open to anyone. Register between 9-9:30 am. Walk fee is $3 per participant, and children under 13 are free. The routes on sidewalks and multimodal recreation trails provide views of Lake Sumter, Lake Sumter Landing Town Square, gardens, residential, business, and athletic areas of The Villages. Always carry water. Wheelchairs and strollers are OK. Pets are allowed. Event: SE22/Y1470. Trail Ratings: 1A (sidewalks). Additional Information: Ron Greene at 828.773.4219, rggreene63@hotmail.

Directions: GPS: 28.909619,-81.977838 The Waterfront Inn is at 1105 Lake Shore Drive, hours 7am-6pm daily. From Orlando use FL 408W to the Turnpike to exit 304. Turn right on US 301 for 5.8 mi to County Rd 472. Turn right for 2 mi. Right at Buena Vista Blvd for 3.5 mi. Left on Old Mill Run to Inn. From US 441N go left at County Rd. 466 in Lady Lake for 2.9 mi. Left on Morse Blvd across bridge to first roundabout. Right on Old Mill Run. Right on Lake Shore Dr. to The Waterfront Inn. DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF INN. PLEASE PARK IN SIDE PARKING LOT.
