6 May 2017 Lake Buena Vista (at Pirates Cove Adventure Golf)

DESCRIPTION: The walk starts between 8:30-9:00 am. The 5K & 10K (3.1/6.2 mi) walks are in areas near and in Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista. The walk takes you through the new & unique Disney Spring shopping complexes and surrounding areas. Enjoy dining, shopping, browsing, and strolling through this new layout around the Lake. DIRECTIONS: To Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf at 12545 State Road 535 from Orlando use I4W and take Exit 68 and travel north (right from Orlando) on SR 535 (Apopka-Vineland Rd.) to the first traffic light. Turn right into the Crossroads Shopping Center. Continue straight ahead to the Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf Course. You will drive 2 miles to the Orange Garage to start. GPS: 28.3834527,-81.5006590.

DESCRIPTION: Bike registers between 9-9:30 am. Come join the HW and MFM "bikers" for this group 26km Guided Bike event to Altamonte Springs on the Seminole-Wekiva Trail (rail trail) following the path of the old Orange Belt Railway. Helmets are required. Pass through quiet residential neighborhoods, suburban shopping areas and experience the hundreds of colorful paintings by artist Jeff Sonksen on the southern portion of the route - the "Paint the Trail" project! DIRECTIONS:From Orlando use exit 100 and then left on HE Thomas & cross I-4. Turn right on International Parkway. Turn right on Market Promenade & immediately into the parking lot. AVA Special Programs: 5/10K walk: Honoring our Flag, Make a Wish Fountains, Trekking with Trees, Points of Reference, Food for Thought, Fountains, Walk the USA Street by Street. USA A-Z: W.

DESCRIPTION: Start between 8:30 - 10:00 and walk 5 and 10 Km routes with the Mid-Florida Milers in Winter Park followed by a great lunch at Another Broken Egg Café. Walk in Winter Park neighborhoods and on byways not on the YRE. The event takes place regardless of weather conditions. Wheelchairs and strollers are acceptable, some streets are brick and/or w/no sidewalks. Restrooms are available at the start, Mead Garden, and MLK Park. Pets are allowed but not in the restaurant. Sign up for lunch at our web site (midfloridamilers.org/events) so we can provide a count. Another Broken Egg has great reviews. You may dine anytime after finishing. DIRECTIONS: The walk is at Publix in Winter Park followed by lunch at Another Broken Egg. Winter Park Village is at 440 N Orlando Ave, Winter Park. Publix is in the south side off Canton. From Orlando on I-4E use exit 88, Lee Road, and turn right (from Sanford on I-4W, left). Cross US 17N-92E and curve right to Webster. Turn left to Denning (light) and right to Canton. Turn right on Canton to Publix on the right. From east or west Orlando on Colonial or Aloma use US 17N-92E to Winter Park Village. Turn right into the Village and right at stop sign to Publix. AVA Special Programs: 6/11K walk: Boardwalks, Bridges - Spanning the USA, Cities in Song, Ice Cream Parlors, Lakes and Reservoirs, Make a Wish at a Water Fountain, Points of Reference, Take a Walk In a City Park, Trekking With the Trees, United States Post Offices, Walk the USA - Street by Street, Walking the USA A - Z.

DESCRIPTION: Register between 8:30-9:00 am for the 6K & 11K (3.4 & 6.8 mi) walk routes that weave through interesting residential areas and boardwalks ending past and behind some very nice residences. Much of the walk is shaded. The walk accommodates strollers and wheelchairs. Restrooms are available at the Start/Finish only. Leashed pets are allowed. Trail rated 1A. Please carry water. DIRECTIONS: To Starbuck's Coffee at 715 Bloom St., Kissimmee, from Tampa on I4E take Exit 64, Kissimmee, right to Celebration Ave. From Daytona/Orlando on I4W take Exit 64, bear left to Kissimmee exit onto US 192E to Celebration Ave. Turn right on Celebration Ave. From Kissimmee on US 192W turn left on Celebration Ave. From Cocoa & east Orlando on FL417S take exit 2, Celebration Ave. and turn left. DESCRIPTION: Register between 8:30-10:00 am for the 5 & 10 km walks on part of the Cross Seminole Trail and into the Soldier's Creek Park area on west Lake Jesup. It is an enjoyable and shaded walk. Wheelchairs and strollers are OK for the 5K only and pets are not allowed. The walk is free and event record books are stamped for a $3.00 fee. Trail rated 1B. Please carry water. DIRECTIONS: To 761 General Hutchison Pkwy from I-4 use exit 98, Lake Mary Blvd, and go east. Turn right on Longwood-Lake Mary Rd. to Ronald Reagan. DESCRIPTION: Register between 8:30-9:00 am for the 5K & 10K (3.1 & 6.2 mi) walk routes starting at Starbucks and walk to the Altamonte Springs Mall for a "cooler" walk. The walk accommodates strollers and wheelchairs. Restrooms are available at the Start/Finish and Mall. Leashed pets are NOT allowed. Trail rated 1A. Please carry water. DIRECTIONS: The start is at Starbucks at Renaissance Centre, 355 E Altamonte Drive, 1700, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701. To Altamonte Springs Mall on I4E/W use exit 92, FL436E, turn right (left from I4W) for 0.5 mile. Merge to left lane crossing Crane's Roost Blvd, Festival Dr. and at 3d light (across from Toys R Us), turn left and then immediately left to Starbucks next to Whole Foods. Register and walk from Starbucks using instructions to mall. Enter thru a mall entrance between Sears and Barnes and Noble on south side. Call Ron Barna on day of event at 407.247.4548. DIRECTIONS: To Long Lake Park, 1350 Carolyn Dr., Oviedo, from Orlando use SR 408E (toll) to SR417N (toll) to exit 41, Red Bug Lake. Right crossing Aloma onto Mitchell Hammock. Cross SR 434 to Oviedo Blvd. (2d light). Left to FL 419E and right. Go 1.2 miles to Carolyn and right to start. From Daytona on I-4 to SR417S to exit 41, Red Bug Lake. DESCRIPTION: The Center opens at 9; register afterwards. The 5 and 10K walk registration is between 9:00-9:30. Walk instructions have info on homes and buildings on the walk routes. You will walk on downtown and/or residential areas south of town. See historic downtown Orlando, new Arts Center, art projects, Lake Eola, and the County Courthouse. The large fountain in Lake Eola, constructed in 1957 and completely refurbished in 2011 provides a nightly light show with music. Pets are allowed. Please carry water. Trail Ratings: 1A. From SR 408W use exit 11A, Rosalind. Stay in left lane to Orange. Left on Orange to 4th light, Gore. Left and then left at Delaney to 1st left on Bay St. From SR408E use exit 10C, Downtown.
