Traditional Events are walking events with designated start time ranges. Don't worry though...you still walk them at your own pace!

2020 Walks

July

4 July May 2020 Winter Park (Wear Red, White and Blue)
EVENT: 5/10K walk

START: Register between 9 and 9:45 am.

Directions: To 148 E Morse Ave. Winter Park (AMTRAK Station) from Orlando take I-4E to Exit 87, Fairbanks Ave. Turn right (left from I-4/W) for 1.8 miles into Winter Park. Turn left on New York Ave. Turn right on Morse Ave. and right into parking. From east on SR417S use exit 38, Aloma Ave., and turn right (left from SR417N) for 6.2 mi. From SR436N/S turn left on Aloma Ave. (right from SR436S) for 3.1 mi. Both turn right on New York. Turn right on Morse Ave. and right into parking. Strollers and wheelchairs permitted. Pets allowed. Details: Wear a mask during registration and stay 6 feet from others (familygroups stay together); a mask is optional while walking if keeping a social distance. Carry hand sanitizer and/or wipes for registration and restrooms usage. Bring the correct change or check ($3). Bring your own pen to sign in; we prefer not to use the same pen for all. Present your registration number (on the instructions) at any water/check point. Give way to approaching walkers and a wide berth when passing providing a safe distance for yourself and others. There will be checkpoint(s). Bottled water only for a small donation at start and CPs.

18 July 2020 Winter Springs
EVENT: 6/10K walk

START: Register between 8:30 and 9:15 am.

Details: Wear a mask during registration and stay 6 feet from others (familygroups stay together); a mask is optional while walking if keeping a social distance. Carry hand sanitizer and/or wipes for registration and restrooms usage. Bring the correct change or check ($3). Bring your own pen to sign in; we prefer not to use the same pen for all. Present your registration number (on the instructions) at any water/check point. Give way to approaching walkers and a wide berth when passing providing a safe distance for yourself and others. There will be checkpoint(s). Bottled water only for a small donation at start and CPs.

Directions: To Trotwood Park from Orlando use I-4E/Sanford on I-4W to exit 94, Winter Springs. Right for 8 mi on FL434E (left from Sanford) crossing Ronald Reagan, US 17/92, and Winter Springs City Hall to Tuskawilla Ave. Right on Tuskawilla for 1 mi. Left at Trotwood to park entrance on the right. From east Orlando use Dean Rd. north to FL426W, go left, then right for 4.8 mi on Tuskawilla passing Red Bug Rd. and Winter Springs Blvd. to Trotwood. Right at Trotwood to park entrance on the right. From Aloma Ave/FL426E drive to Tuskawilla. Left on Tuskawilla for 4.8 mi passing Red Bug Rd. and Winter Springs Blvd. to Trotwood. 1 August 2020 Orlando South from Beardall Sr. Ctr.
EVENT: 5/10K walk

START: Register between 9 and 9:30 am.

Detailed Description and Directions: Description and Directions Restrooms available after Center opens at 9 am. Register between 9:00-9:30 am. Walk fee is $3 per participant and children under 13 are free without credit. These popular 5 and 10 km walks are suitable for strollers and harder for wheelchairs - some streets have no sidewalks. 15 August 2020 Altamonte Springs Westmonte Park (opens at 8)
EVENT: 5/10K walk

START: Register between 8:45 and 9:30 am.

Detailed Description and Directions: Walk on the shaded Seminole-Wekiva Trail from near its southern start. Pass Sandlando Tennis Center and meander through the local residential areas. Walk fee is $3 per participant and children under 13 are free without credit. These popular 6 and 10 km walks are suitable for strollers and harder for wheelchairs. Pets are allowed. Please carry water. Event: 116621. Trail Ratings: 1A. To the park at 624 Bills Ln. from I-4 use exit 92, Altamonte Springs/Semoran/FL436W. Go left from I-4E/right from I-4W. Go 1 mi. Pass Montgomery and right after Congo River Golf and Chuck E. Cheese on Spring Oaks Blvd. From Apopka on FL436E/Semoran cross FL434 and go 0.9 mi. Left at U-Haul on Spring Oaks Blvd. Both follow Spring Oaks for 0.6 mile to park on the left at Bills Ln.

EVENT: 5/10K walk

START: Register between 9 and 9:45 am.

Detailed Description and Directions: The walks are on sidewalks and multi-modal trails providing views of the Spanish Springs Town Square, gardens, residential, business, and athletic areas of The Villages. Walk fee is $3 per participant and children under 13 are free without credit. These popular 6 and 10 km walks are suitable for strollers and harder for wheelchairs. Pets are allowed.
