Description: ONLINE (called Online Start Box (OSB) locations: Register and get instructions at my.ava.org. Locations are Celebration 1 and 2; Lake Buena Vista; Orlando North, South and Downtown; Winter Park; and in SE Florida: Delray Beach; Fort Lauderdale (now 6, 10, 16 and 21K); Key West; Miami South Beach; and West Palm Beach. EVENT: 6/10K walk

START: Register between 8:30 and 9:00 am.

AVA Special Programs: Rockin' Around the Clock, Walking w/Veterans, Walking the USA A-Z: C.

Description: Starbucks is open and restrooms are available. Register for the 6 and 10K walks between 8:30 - 9:00 am. Walk fee is $3 per participant, and children under 13 are free Walk instructions with maps provided; walk at your pace. You walk around lakes filled with wildlife, into and past wetlands, and thru different residential areas on sidewalks. Please carry water. Leashed pets are allowed. Event Y1817. 15 May 2021 The Villages at Spanish Springs.
EVENT: 5/10K walk

START: Register between 9:00 and 9:30 am.

AVA Special Programs: Rockin' Around the Clock Walking with Veterans, Walking the USA A-Z: V.

Description: Register for the 5 and 10K walks between 9:00 - 9:30am. Walk fee is $3 per participant, and children under 13 are free. Walk instructions with maps provided; walk at your pace. Restrooms at start and Rec center. Pets are permitted. Walk thru Spanish Springs Town Center, past different Villages, on multimode trail along a golf course. Please carry water. Event: Y1433. From Orlando on Florida's Turnpike N. to Exit 304, Wildwood. Turn right on US 301 to County Rd. 466. 23 May 2021 Maitland Community Center (Mayo Park).
EVENT: 6/10K walk

START: Register between 8:30 and 9:15 am.

AVA Special Programs: Rockin' Around the Clock Walking the USA A-Z: M.

Description: Register for the 6 and 10K walks between 8:30-9:15 am. Walk fee is $3 per participant, and children under 13 are free. Walk instructions with maps provided; walk at your pace. Restrooms at start and on route. Pets are permitted. The walks start out of the Park across the 17-92 pedestrian bridge and then curves back past Minnehaha Park before turning into residential areas of Maitland and Winter Park. It finishes thru a boardwalk to the park. Wheelchairs are not recommended and strollers are acceptable. Event: SE21/118711. Trail Ratings: 1A (sidewalks and paved/boarwalk trail). Directions: GPS: 28.6379911,-81.3524595 To Maitland Community Park at 1400 Mayo Avenue. From Orlando on I-4E take Exit 90A (Maitland Blvd., Sandspur). From Daytona on I-4W Maitland Exit 90C-B-A then stay to left. Take exit 90A (FL414 East, Maitland Blvd). Cross Maitland Ave. (2d light after I-4) and exit right just before a bridge. Cross Orlando Ave. (US 17-92) onto Mayo Avenue. The park is at the end of Mayo Avenue. From East Orlando use SR 417 to Exit 38, Aloma. Go to 4th light, Howell Branch and turn right. Go for 5.8 miles and road changes to Horatio past Temple. At US 17-92 (Orlando Ave), turn right for 0.5 mi to Mayo Avenue. after the Mercedes dealer and just before the large overpass. Turn right on Mayo to park at the end. Follow signs to the start.

29 May 2021 Orlando North at Marks Street Senior Center.
EVENT: 5/10K walk

START: Register between 9:00 and 9:30 am.

AVA Special Programs: Rockin' Around the Clock, Walking with Veterans, Walking the USA A-Z: O.

Description: Register for the 5 and 10K walks between 8:30-9:00 am. Walk fee is $3 per participant, and children under 13 are free. Walk instructions with maps provided; walk at your pace. NO Restrooms at start but are on route. Pets are permitted. The walks are to the north of downtown and are tree lined, shaded walks near lakes, through residential areas and pass Antique Row, Advent Health, Mead Garden, Lake Virginia, Loch Haven Park, the Orlando Museum of Art, Menello Museum and the Orlando Urban Trail. Restrooms are available at Fresh Market and Mead Garden. Wheelchairs and strollers are acceptable. Event: SE20/Y1242. Trail Ratings: 1A (sidewalks and paved trail). Left on Colonial Dr. and merge to left lane. From Disney via I-4E use Exit 83A, Amelia; go straight at bottom of ramp. Keep right and turn right at next light onto Colonial Dr. (FL50E) See **. From SR 408W/E exit east toward Daytona onto I-4E. Use Exit 83A, Amelia; straight at bottom of ramp. Keep right and turn right at next light onto Colonial (FL50E). See **: **Left on Magnolia at 2nd traffic light, a one-way street. Left at first light, Marks St., to Senior Center immediately on right.

5 June 2021 Universal at Rear of Kirkman Miller Ale House.
EVENT: 6/10K walk

START: Register between 8:30 and 9:15 am. Finish with lunch at Miller’s Ale House at 11-noon

AVA Special Programs: Walking the USA A-Z: O.

Description: 6 and 10km walks explore the area in and around Universal Parks and Resorts and the beautifully landscaped Garden Walk which borders the magnificent blue-green CityWalk Lagoon waterway. Water taxis ply their trade back and forth from CityWalk to resorts such as Loews Portofino Bay. Pass many restaurants and attractions such as Margaritaville. Suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. No pets are permitted. Walk in daylight hours. NOTE: The walks include passage through security points: No weapons or sharp objects (such as penknives) are allowed. County requires masks in establishments and if not distanced outside. Inside Universal requires temperature checks and masks all the time. From Daytona/Sanford I-4W stay in right lane to Exit 75B-A for FL435N/Kirkman Road. See ALL. ALL: Merge onto Kirkman Rd into 2nd from right lane, passing Major Blvd for .3 mile, right to Miller’s Ale House. Park in rear lot behind Ale House.

19 June 2021 Orlando Downtown at Beardall Senior Center.
EVENT: 6/10K walk

START: Register between 9:00 and 9:45 am.

AVA Special Programs: Rockin' Around the Clock Walking the USA A-Z: M.

Description: The center does not open until 9 AM. The 6 and 10 km walks routes take you to historic downtown Orlando, Colonial Town Historic area, Lake Eola, and County Courthouse. Historical notes provided by POC JoAnne. Pass the large fountain in Lake Eola, which was constructed in 1957 to celebrate Orlando's 100th birthday and was rebuilt in 2011. Look for the famous "black swans" or take a ride in the swan paddleboats. The Walk Downtown accommodates strollers and wheelchairs (though some streets have no sidewalks). Restrooms and water are at the start, Publix, and Lake Eola.. Pets are allowed on a leash. Please carry water. (County requires masks in establishments and if not distanced outside.) Rating: 1A. Directions: GPS: 28.63175,-81.375518 [There is major construction on I-4 until 2022 from Exit 94 (Longwood) to Exit 75 (FL435/Kirkman. Additionally, I-4E and I-4W are slow weekday mornings. To the Beardall Senior Center at 800 N Delaney Av. from I-4W, use exit 82B, Anderson St. Left to Orange Av. Right on Orange Ave to 3rd light (Gore Av). Left, then left on Delaney to right on Bay to rear of Center. From I.4E use exit 82B. Right on South St. Then right on Orange Av to 4th light (Gore). Left and then left at Delaney to Bay and left to the rear of the Senior Center. From SR408W use exit 11, Rosalind. Stay in left lane to Orange Ave. Left on Orange to 4th light (Gore), then right on Delaney to right on Bay to rear of Center. From SR 408E, exit 10B, Downtown. Right on Delaney Ave. for 0.2 mi, then right on Bay to rear of Center.
