AVA Special Programs: 5/10K walk: Bridges - Spanning the USA, Ice Cream Parlors, Make a Wish at a Water Fountain, Points of Reference, Take a Walk In a City Park, United States Post Offices, Walk the USA - Street by Street, , Walking the USA A – Z:W.

DESCRIPTION: This is a new route for 2019. Register between 9:00 - 9:30 am for the 5 & 10km (3.1 & 6.2 mi) walk routes on beautiful Park Ave., Central Park, and Lake Maitland (10km). The 5km route is all in residential areas and Park Ave. Wheelchairs and strollers possible but some streets have no sidewalks and Kraft Azalea park is bypassed. Restrooms are available at the Start/Finish and Lakemont YMCA (10km) only. Leashed pets are allowed (except in Parks). Trail rated 1A. Carry water for your safety. Sanction 2019/Y0394. DIRECTIONS:To 148 E Morse Ave. Winter Park from Orlando take I-4E to Exit 87, Fairbanks Ave. Turn right (left from I-4/W) for 1.8 miles into Winter Park. Turn left on New York Ave. Turn right on Morse Ave. and right into parking. From east on SR417S use exit 38, Aloma Ave., and turn right (left from SR417N) for 6.2mi. From SR436N turn left on Aloma Ave. (right from SR436S) for 3.1mi. Both turn right on New York. Turn right on Morse Ave. and right into parking. Call for info on day of event at 407.304.6394. DESCRIPTION: Register between 8:30-9:00 am for the 5 & 10K walks. Walk fee is $3 per participant and children under 13 are free. The 5 and 10K walks can be walked to the mall (+2K) or drive 1/3 mile from Starbucks and enjoy this upscale mall with 2 floors. The 5 & 10km (3.1 & 6.2 mi) walk routes are inside the Mall. Before 10:00 am, enter thru a Mall entrance. The trails are suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets are not allowed. Please carry water. Event: SE19/Y1728. Trail Ratings: 1A. DIRECTIONS: To Starbucks at Renaissance Centre, 355 E Altamonte Dr., #1700 from I-4E/W use Exit 92/FL436, turn right (left from I-4W) for 0.5 mile. DESCRIPTION: Register between 8:30-9:00 am. Walk 6 or 10km (3.8 & 6.2 mi) in quiet residential streets, lakes, and city parks. Plan to visit the Maitland Arts Center while on the walk. DIRECTIONS: NOTE: The interchange at Maitland Blvd is under construction. To Walgreens at 330 S. Orlando Av. from Orlando on I-4E take Exit 90A-B (Maitland/SR 414) then exit 90A. Exit right to 2nd light, Maitland Ave. From Daytona on I-4W pass sign for Maitland Exit 90C-B-A, “FL414, Maitland Blvd, Lake Destiny Dr. 3/4 mile”. Take the exit marked 90C-B-A and stay to the left. Use Exit 90A, “FL414 East/Maitland Blvd.” Go to 2nd light, Maitland Ave. BOTH: turn right for 1.3 miles to Packwood (1 block past Post Office). Left on Packwood past fire station, cross US 17-92, and turn into Walgreen's parking lot. From Sanford/Orlando use US17-92 to Walgreen's at corner of US 17-92/Packwood. DESCRIPTION: Register between 9:00-9:30 am for the 5 & 10K (3.1 & 6.2 mi) walks. The walk fee is $3 per participant, and children under 13 are free. The 10km walk is south of downtown and is tree lined, shaded walk near lakes, and through residential areas. The 5K is southwest of downtown passing the historic RR Station, Orlando Health and residential homes in the Lake Cherokee area. 10K restrooms are available at the start; 5K restrooms at start and AMTRAK Station. Right on South St. Right on Orange to 4th light, Gore, then left to Denning. See below. From SR408W to Exit 11/Rosalind and stay in left lane. Left on Orange to 4th light, Gore then left to Denning. "Below": Left on Denning to Bay, 1st left. From SR408E, Exit 10C, Downtown staying in left lane to Delaney. Right on Delaney & right on Bay just before light. The 5 & 10km self-paced walks are open to anyone and fun for all. Walk the residential areas and wooded trails that wind through this town. Great restaurants after the walk. From Tampa on I-4E take Exit 64, Kissimmee, right on US 192E, and right on Celebration Av. From Kissimmee on US 192W turn left on Celebration Av. From Cocoa and east Orlando on SR 417S take Exit 2, Celebration Av. and turn left.
